Housing community for boys and supervised individual living

For boys and young men from the age of 16 who want to work on realising their personal goals, amongst each other and without having to compete for the attention of girls. Goals such as:

school degree
vocational training
career
steady income
family
self-employment
et cetera...

Not suitable for:

psychotic and acutely suicidal youths and young adults

Housing community for boys and supervised individual living provides young men with:

a room of their own,
events and excursions,
counseling on issues of everyday survival,
qualified supervision,
sports, fun and excitement,
a meeting point in Marzahn.

We expect from the young people:

that they do their chores such as cleaning, cooking and grocery shopping,
that they take part in regular group meetings and activities,
that they stick to the house rules,
that they don't consume drugs and alcohol within the house,
that they try to stay out of trouble with the law,
that they work on taking charge of their own lives.

We offer:

regular individual and group counseling,
support in the realisation of their individual goals
differentiated discussion of such concepts as man, masculinity, friend, partner, father...
communal leisure activities
many freedoms and reliance on everyone's sense of responsibility on one hand, clear frameworks and boundaries on the other.

Individual living

The boys' housing community has 3 single rooms. Apart from that, there are 3 one-room flats available nearby for supervised individual living.

Individual living is for boys and young men who wish to:

realise their own goals,
establish an independent life on their own,
stay out of trouble with the law,
establish grounded relationships.

Before admittance financial support from the youth welfare department has to be secured.
