Universtität Innsbruck, Institut für Erziehungswissenschaften, Forschungsschwerpunkt Intervention und Inklusion in psychosozialen Berufsfeldern
Zum Thema Männer in Kinderbetreuungseinrichtungen gibt es bislang nur wenig Literatur und kaum empirische Forschung. Am Institut für Erziehungswissenschaften der Universität Innsbruck wird daher ein bundesweites Forschungsprojekt durchgeführt, dass die Ausbildung und die Berufswege von Männern im Bereich der Elementarpädagogik in Österreich untersucht.

Taking care: a way of living - coeducative experiences in a Spanish early childhood center

For the last 3 years the school Agora (3-12 years old) has been developing a coeducative project. This project is characterized by involving the whole educational community (teachers, fathers and childrens) in the mainstreaming of gender implementation. The center promotes care as the key element of coeducation.

The Education and the Learning of Values and Egalitarian Attitudes from the First Childhood: The Educative and Teacher Men at Schools of Child Education
The project of research that we present studies how the transmission and construction of values and egalitarian attitudes, from the prospect of gender, in children of 0-6 years are developed. We contemplate different populations: the students of child education teaching of Catalonia, the teachers who work the colleagues of the professionals in this period, the families of the children attended to by the educators and teachers.
We intend to improve the creation of educational environments where the men and women are represented in equitable way, without discrimination of gender nor cultural origin. It is from this perspective that we incorporate tutorial interventions for the students of high school leaving certificate previous to the decision making about the selection of degree studies.

Coeducative experience in Tarragona (Spain): Grow in freedom
This experience describes the actions carried out by a Spanish early childhood centre placed in the city of Tarragona in order to work with the coeducation and gender sensitive pedagogy by using games, explanation and dramatization of tales, the cooperative work, the relation between the families and the teachers formation.
From the direct observation of the relations and the life inside the center, the teachers realize the necessity of taking part in order to break the roles and stereotypes, to foment the tolerance and the freedom of choosing and potentialize the care of themselves, the others and the environment.

Fortbildungsprojekt zur geschlechtsbewussten Pädagogik in Kindertageseinrichtungen.
Projektleiterin: Ursula Grzeschke, Stellvertretende Leiterin und Dozentin des Tagungshaus Bredbeck.
In den Jahren 2002 bis 2005 beteiligte sich die Bildungsstätte Bredbeck, eine kommunale Einrichtung des Landkreises Osterholz in Niedersachsen, am Niedersächsischen Förderprogramm "Lebensweltbezogene Mädchenarbeit". Erarbeitet wurde ein Konzept für ein Fortbildungsprojekt zur geschlechtsbewussten Pädagogik in Kindertageseinrichtungen.
Das Fortbildungsprojekt ermöglichte eine neue Sicht auf Mädchen und Jungen in Kindertageseinrichtungen und die Entwicklung geschlechtsbewusster pädagogischer Arbeit. Es wendete sich an interessierte MitarbeiterInnen - gesamte Teams - aus Kindertageseinrichtungen, die die Chance des Programms nutzen wollten, sich selbst und ihre pädagogische Arbeit weiter zu entwickeln und zu professionalisieren. Das Fortbildungsprojekt umfasste verschiedene aufeinander aufbauende Fortbildungsbausteine und wurde im genannten Zeitraum dreimal durchgeführt.
Die Leitung des Programm hatte Frau Ursula Grzeschke, die auf eine mehr als 10jährige Praxiserfahrung als Referentin in der Mädchenbildungsarbeit zurückgreifen konnte. Frau Ursula Grzeschke ist heute stellvertretende Leiterin des Tagungshaus Bredbeck.
